Wrapping Up Fall: Celebrating Gratitude and Fellowship

Millwood’s mission is that all who come in contact with our company would clearly see the love of Christ in all that we do, and our team members are our first priority in that mission. Millwood’s plant managers, administrators and dedicated chaplains hold events throughout the year to show their appreciation and promote team building.

In the summertime, events included company picnics, paintball matches and camping, taking full advantage of the warm weather.

Team members and their families found various ways to get together as the weather got chillier, including attending soccer games, bowling and dinner theater. One Millwood location sponsored a soccer team including several former and current team members, supporting their championship victory in September.

Teams also took the time to celebrate safety-related accomplishments, including two facilities, in Leetsdale, PA and Vienna, OH who celebrated two and three years accident-free, respectively. Safety milestones were also celebrated at Millwood’s annual Management Meeting in October.

Millwood’s corporate office in Vienna, OH held its annual candy giveaway and decoration contest in October, which each corporate department participated in to bring joy to Millwood families. We celebrated World Kindness Day, encouraging Millwood families and children to reflect on what kindness means to them.

For Thanksgiving, teams gathered to share meals and celebrate gratitude. In Texas, team members at two locations were given frozen turkeys A team in Connecticut celebrated Friendsgiving, emphasizing the importance of comradery and togetherness in the workplace.

Many of the celebrations included home-cooked meals, catered lunches, prizes, games, expressions of appreciation and prayer. Several team members shared that they were grateful for their Millwood families and the positive impact of our Christ-centered culture.

“It was a very humbling experience. I cried of joy to hear that we are doing the best just as we say, and that we are fulfilling our mission that all who come in contact with our company would clearly see the love of Christ in all that we do,” one Millwood chaplain said.

In the spirit of gratitude, team members also participated in Millwood’s annual Shop Til You Drop event, helping provide donations for individuals spending the holidays at local rescue missions.

We are thankful for the many ways God has enabled Millwood to gather in fellowship and celebrate as a family this past season. These are just a few of the ways Millwood teams have gathered at work and outside of work. Check out Millwood’s social shorts for more.

If you’re interested in joining the fun, and you’re located near a Millwood location, consider putting in an application! We are currently hiring for a wide variety of roles at facilities across the country as well as our corporate office in Vienna, OH.
