In early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic shook the world, and each of us has been experiencing the shockwaves ever since. It’s no secret that we have entered a new normal. Businesses and industries of every kind have been affected if not turned upside-down. Previously tried and true methods of doing business have been upended, and Millwood’s sales team is no exception.
On Thursday, October 22, Millwood held its annual Management Meeting online. Like the many gatherings during COVID-19, this year’s meeting took advantage of technology to ensure the safety of all attendees.
Homelessness is a major issue across the country, and Florence, SC is no exception. The House of Hope has been serving and sheltering those facing homelessness in the Florence area since 1990. Jean and Bill Fryar opened the community shelter after seeing the troubling number of homeless people being turned away from other shelters. They served more than 50,000 meals in 2019 alone.
