Millwood’s Dundee, OH operations team reached its accident-free anniversary on January 20. The team celebrated with a pizza luncheon on January 23.
For the team in Dundee, celebrating each milestone along the way kept them motivated to continue climbing to the goal of one year accident-free, a trend they hope to continue to additional accident-free anniversaries.
“It’s very exciting,” Plant Manager Matt Russell said. “It was the small victories that kept it top of mind.“
The team promotes a culture that heavily emphasizes safety and looking out for one another.
For fellow plant managers and team members hoping to achieve a similar milestone, Matt advises encouraging safe practices over all else.
“Put your people first,” Matt said. “Don’t sacrifice safety for production numbers.”
