Trade shows are opportunities for customers, vendors and suppliers to either network with new faces or reconnect with old friends. However, there's more to the shows than booths, demos and meetings with product managers; it also serves as an opportunity to learn more about the industry.
MODEX also offers seminars on the show floors, which are led by industry experts that tackle a variety of topics on the supply chain, material handling and logistics. It's a great place to not just network, but learn more about the industry and upcoming trends and innovations.
Outside of the seminars, there are also three keynote speakers are hosting events:
- Mike Rowe, founder of the mikeroweWORKS and best known as the host of the Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs.
- Juan Perez, Chief Information and Engineering Officer for UPS and a member of the UPS Management Committee, which is responsible for the company’s long-range vision and strategy.
- Andrew McAfee, Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Initiative on the Digital Economy and a Principal Research Scientist at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
-
The Honorable Governor Nathan Deal, Governor of Georgia
Finally, Jim Gaffigan, a Grammy nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, two time New York Times best-selling author and top touring performer is the headlining entertainment for MHI Industry Night. Tickets are $50 and include beer, wine and hors d'oevres. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc.
