Every year ProMat hosts a variety of guest speakers, as well as featured entertainment for registered attendees.
Trade shows are opportunities for customers, vendors and suppliers to either network with new faces or reconnect with old friends. However, there's more to the shows than booths, demos and meetings with product managers; it also serves as an opportunity to learn more about the industry.
ProMat always offers seminars on the show floors, which are led by industry experts that tackle a variety of topics on the supply chain, material handling and logistics. Our own Ralph Rupert will be hosting his own seminar, titled "Pallet Performance in Automated Storage Systems." If you're interested in attending, check out Theater B at 12:45 on Monday, April 3rd.
Outside of the seminars, there are also three keynote speakers that are hosting events:
- Andrew Winston, best selling author and adviser to Fortune 500 Companies, who will lead a panel of manufacturing and supply chain leaders. He will discuss how companies can use sustainability strategies to become more profitable.
- Markus Lorenz, Partner and Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group, will present on how intelligent machines will transform supply chains in this fourth industrial revolution.
- Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Chairman and CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises and former NBA player, will touch on knowing your customers and where they are going.
Finally, Dana Carvey, actor and Emmy award winning comedian best known for his work on Saturday Night Live, is the headlining entertainment for MHI Industry Night. Tickets are $50 and include beer, wine and hors d'oevres. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc.
