Millwood’s Simpsonville, SC team achieved one year without an accident on June 22 and celebrated as a team on July 25. The Simpsonville team, along with several guests from the safety team and corporate office, enjoyed a catered lunch from Home Team BBQ.
Simpsonville Plant Manager Joe Lemke said that it’s important to him to know that his team members go home the way they arrived: safely.
“I’m happy for the team members knowing that they are able to go home at the end of the day the same way they came into work,” he said.
For other Millwood leaders hoping to reach a year or longer without an accident, Joe emphasizes the importance of communication and training.
“Continuous coaching and communication with team members is very important when building a safety culture,” he said.
Millwood’s mission is that all who come in contact with us would clearly see the love of Christ in all that we do, which starts with our team members. We are proud of the team in Simpsonville for making safety a priority in order to achieve this milestone.
