It’s been just over one year since Millwood opened its pallet repair and manufacturing location in Huntsville, AL.
A lot has been accomplished in that year, including internal growth, involvement in projects in the wider Huntsville community and their first accident-free anniversary.
“We’ve grown to 17 team members and are continually looking for ways to grow this Millwood operation even more in 2024,” Plant Manager Ward Brasseal said. “We’re not only growing internally but are finding new and exciting ways to connect with the local community here in Huntsville.”
Recently, Brasseal and Regional Operations Manager Joe Commodore have teamed up to tackle ways to become more integrated with the community.
“We’re always looking for ways to connect with the local community and government here in Huntsville,” Commodore said. “We understand how important it is to stay in front of the people we are servicing every day.”
The team participated in a wood waste processes presentation with the community and the County Commissioners of Limestone this year and plan to participate in more related events in 2024.
“We want to be thought leaders and believe in giving back," Brasseal said. "From sponsoring local events to participating in environmental initiatives, we are committed to being a responsible corporate partner.”
The team also celebrated their first accident-free anniversary with a luncheon on May 2.
Brasseal attributed this achievement to proper training and a focus on safety protocol, which has fostered a culture of safety at the Huntsville facility.
“The employees are dedicated to safety,” he said.
Millwood’s mission is that all who come in contact with our company would clearly see the love of Christ in all that we do. The team in Huntsville exemplifies that mission by committing themselves to safety, community involvement and corporate responsibility.
Congratulations to the Huntsville team on their accomplishments over the course of their first year.
