Millwood Gathering 2021: One Heart, One Mind

On Tuesday, May 11, Millwood team members gathered at Faith Family Church in Canton, OH to honor Christ and one another in person for the first time since the onset of COVID-19. The theme of the event was One Heart, One Mind, based on Philippians 2:2 which reads, “Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.”

The annual Millwood Gathering began nine years ago as a way for our chaplains from across the country to come together in worship and fellowship. Since that time, the event has grown to include more of the Millwood family. For the first time, this year’s gathering was open to all corporate team members, their spouses and the chaplains’ spouses. Attendees followed COVID-19 safety guidelines for indoor gatherings.

This year’s gathering was also broadcast live on YouTube, opening up virtual participation to an even larger group of team members. The livestream was shown in several of our facilities and could be accessed by any team member who was not able to attend in person.

The gathering kicked off with prayer and opening remarks from owners Chip Trebilcock and Steve Miller, followed by praise and worship with Grammy-nominated Christian band Leeland. The event then featured testimonial videos from team members from various locations speaking about how both their faith and Millwood have helped them through times of difficulty.

The keynote speaker was Kurt Andre of Transformational Coaching and Consulting International, who gave a talk encouraging team members to laser-focus their efforts for greater results. As we individually follow Christ, we must also do so as a company, leading to success in a business sense and a spiritual sense. As a faith-based company, we look to Jesus as our guiding force and align our actions with His teachings.

Millwood was blessed to be able to hold this annual gathering and share it with team members from all around the country. The gathering acts as a way for the Millwood family to come together in fellowship and remind ourselves what matters most – the love that God has for each one of us.
