Millwood’s Leetsdale, PA team reached two years accident-free on August 23. The safety team hosted a celebration at the facility on September 27.
“We want to take the opportunity to celebrate two years with everybody here,” SCBU Safety Manager Mondell Elliott said to the group. “It’s a tremendous accomplishment, and it doesn’t happen by accident or by luck.”
The team and several guests enjoyed lunch together.
“I’m glad to continue to work in a safe and productive environment and send everyone home the same way they came in,” Plant Supervisor Christopher Rice said.
Christopher’s advice for other teams hoping to accomplish similar milestones is to pay close attention to the safety guidance provided by Millwood’s safety team.
“My advice would be to consistently follow company protocols in regards to safety and housekeeping,” he said. “In Leetsdale, we will continue to follow and enforce safety protocols as well as suggestions from the regional managers and safety managers.”
