Millwood’s CORE Division Adds New Co-Packing Location

Millwood, Inc.’s CORE Erosion Control Services brand and division has added a co-packing location in Ellenboro, NC. Ellenboro Erosion Control, Inc. will supply the labor and material that is used for the CORE filter socks.

“We’re excited about partnering with the team at Ellenboro Erosion Control,” Chris Verbosky, CORE regional operations manager, said. “We look forward to work together to find ways to better serve our customers in this region of the country that will benefit CORE and Ellenboro Erosion Control.”

CORE filter sock mesh is manufactured in Vienna, OH and shipped direct to the team in Ellenboro where they stuff the filter sock. Ellenboro Erosion Control will stock CORE filter sock and ship direct to CORE customers in this region of the U.S.

“We have customers in this region of the country and nationwide, so we’re trying to keep adding more co-packing locations across the country to better service them,” Verbosky said. “One of our biggest pinch points is transportation, so developing relationships with co-packing locations across the country is vital to the success of our area of the business.”

The process of selecting a potential CORE co-packer consists of a vetting process that allows us to ensure that the potential partner aligns with our core values and quality of standardization of materials.

As this area of Millwood’s business continues to grow, so will the number of co-packers. Contracts with additional co-packing locations are already moving forward, Verbosky said.

“With the resources that CORE can tap into from Millwood, we are able to stay ahead of some of our competitors and give assistance to our customers,” Verbosky said. “Our goal is to eventually be able to services customers across the continental U.S.”
