Team Members Assist Communities for Back to School Season

At Millwood, our mission is that all who come in contact with our company would clearly see the love of Christ in all that we do, which includes the surrounding communities of our facilities.

Two Millwood teams recently participated in back-to-school giveaway events in their communities.

A team in South Carolina participated in a community school supply drive on July 29 for students returning to school on July 31. The facility’s chaplain and several team members provided a cookout-style meal and gave away over 100 backpacks of school supplies.

“We thank God that we have been given an opportunity to serve the community by being a part of a community school supply drive,” the chaplain said.

Many team members also donated books for the children and prayed with the families over a safe and successful school year ahead.

Another Millwood chaplain’s church, the Promise Land Church of God, held its annual back-to-school drive on August 19. Millwood donated to the cause and several team members volunteered during the event.

“This was a true blessing not only to the church, but to the community and to our team members' families,” the chaplain said.

The event included activities and games for the children as well as free haircuts for any child that needed one. They were able to give out 165 backpacks with school supplies.

“It was beautiful to see the love of God in action! All the families were grateful to Promise Land, Millwood and to all that had anything to do with this event,” the chaplain said. “To God be the Glory!”

Millwood is thankful for the team members and chaplains who come together to serve those in their community and show them the love of Christ.
