Last month, Millwood’s Hamilton, OH location reached two years without an accident at their facility, and they celebrated on September 12.
Safety is an ongoing effort that takes daily commitment. Hamilton Plant Manager Antonio Delgado prioritizes continuous training for his team to avoid the possibility of an accident.
“Safety training reduces the chances of accidents in 50%,” Antonio said. “The combination of continuous safety training and enforcing safety programs reduces the chances of accidents in a workplaces by 98%.”
Antonio also cited good housekeeping and enforcing safety programs and policies regularly. His advice to other teams hoping to reach a similar milestone is to enforce safety every day.
