Dundee Facility Participates in Operation Christmas Child

For the millions of children living in poverty, the holiday season can be especially difficult. Our Dundee, OH team has partnered with The Way Christian Church for Operation Christmas Child, packing over 100 shoeboxes for children who are less fortunate.

Operation Christmas Child is a program directed by one of Millwood's charity partners, the Samaritan’s Purse ministry. Samaritan’s Purse is an evangelical Christian organization that has been providing aid to those in need across the globe since 1970. In addition to physical and monetary aid, they provide spiritual aid by sharing the love of Jesus Christ

The boxes are filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene products, and are sent all around the world. With their box, every child also receives a Bible in their language and 12 weeks of Sunday school lessons on the life of Jesus.

Some team members also brought boxes home for each of their family members to fill. Filling a shoebox is a great way for children to get experience giving to the less fortunate and sharing the love of Jesus with them.

“It’s pretty awesome to be a part of this life-changing ministry,” Pastor Jody Jones said. “Some of the children that will receive these gifts have never gotten a Christmas gift ever before.”

Along with their gifts, many children will be introduced to Jesus and experience his love for the first time.

Thank you to the Dundee team for using their time to be a blessing to those in need during the holiday season.
